SEVERE Food Poisoning

<p>I popped into the Anysberg Biltong store at Zevenwacht Mall, on Monday 25 July 2016 and bought R50 worth of kudu wors, I was on the run and even though it was quite wet and 'gamey' I ate it. I shouldnt have. That night I started to feel really terrible and the next morning I simply couldnt get out of bed. My wife drove me to hospital, as I was unable to myself. My condition deteriorated rapidly and by the time I could see an emergency doctor, I was unable to lift my head to vomit. They say you have real food poisoning , not when you think you will die, but when you actually hope you do. I had real food poisoning!</p> <p>A few days later I made contact with the shop and told them my story. A manager later called back and made light of it, saying he had heard an "ietsie" happened. No my friend, this was no "ietsie". He very kindly offered me an opportunity to come get some free biltong!! As I no longer wished to eat any more of his salmonella-laced product. I had to decline. His head office also called and I said I would be sending my medical bills (app. R2, 000). This I did, twice. They simply ignored me. They never contacted me.</p> <p>To Anysberg Biltong, let me tell you, that if a young kid, or sick or elderly person had of eaten that stuff, they would have been at serious, serious risk. My advice is as follows: unless you want your "ietsie" to put you in the emergency room, do not buy it at the Anysberg Biltong Store in Zevenwacht Mall.</p>
