Bad service and no comunication

I booked and paid a hike at Anvie (KINGDOM HIKE) and ended up infront of a locked gate in the middle of the night 100 km from home.were I had no all hours number where they could sort the issue for me , where they said send me a e-mail with the gate pin I never received, and there was never a call or sms informing me of the permit and gate number. I feel paying R1950 was a waist , not being to enjoy my weekend, now they blame me for not phoning them to find out if I did receive all documents. and that I will not get my money paid back. because this was my mistake.
