My account was handed over by Foschini to the Anthony Richards & Associates Group. I called Anthony Richards & Associates Group for a settlement and I was given an amount of R5491.16 and paid R5191.16 via FNB EFT, which left a balance of R300. I explained that I made a payment of R300 to Foschini directly on the 21 December 2016 was confirmed that amount will be deducted from the settlement amount upon receipt of proof of payment. I was then advised by an Agent to email the proof of payment to Theresa who is the manager. I then received about 4 calls from different agents demanding a settlement which I find harassing because I had already paid the settlement. I then received an email on 16 February advising that I need to call Anthony Richards & Associates Group urgently and request for Theresa. I called and spoke to Mrs du Preez who told me that I still owe a balance of R700 receipting fees. She advised that it's an amount that is charged by Foschini Stores every time payment towards an account directly from the store. I then explained that "but I did not make payment at the store, why am I being charged?" Mrs du Preez confirmed that she was unsure as to why I am being charged, as receipting fees only apply to payments made directly from Foschini stores. I have paid my account at the Foschini stores before and I've never been advised of such a fee. Mrs. Du Preez from the Anthony Richards & Associates Group tells me that it must have been my FNB that charged me the Receipting fees. I went to the FNB Branch and was advised that online transactions are not charged if you help yourself, which I did. I am now being sent from pillar to post regarding the receipting fees and charged by Anthony Richards & Associates Group and Foschini group for depositing via FNB which is a free service. I am not willing to pay fees that I am not eligible for. This company is so **********.
