Passing the Buck
ARA called us and offered us an unbelievable discount on an ABSA loan and we accepted it. We entered into a 3 month settlement plan and ARA debited our account for 2 months. In month 3, they did not debit our account. We called them to find out why and they said that unfortunately, ABSA had taken the account back from ARA and that we needed to contact ABSA personally to resolve and make a new arrangement.
We contacted ABSA and they were not aware of this and had not been receiving any funds from ARA.
We contact ARA again and they said that a senior manager was looking into this and would get back to us.
When they didnt return our call, we contacted ARA again, only to be given another Bank Account to settle the balance and then they would email us the settlement letter.
When we tried to log into our internet banking this morning, our password had been mysteriously changed and we couldnt log into our internet banking. We had to request a new password.
We decided to look on Hello Peter only to see that countless people have been suffering a similar fate as us.
How do people get away with this?
