Rejected insurance claim

I'm currently having challenges with my insurer as i lodged a claim for my collapsed boundary wall, the assessor report was that the wall was poorly build which came as a shock because when I bought the house the wall was part of the house. I fail to understand, why was it not highlighted before signing the deal. I am extremely disappointed
