GIVING ONLINE PURCHASING A BAD NAME

Ans Wholesalers in Pretoria advertised excellent prices and no bad internet/ hello peter or FB reveiws a group of friends clubbed together to buy me what was meant to be my dream 40th bday present. A Magimix 5200 in chrome was ordered, on 11 Novemeber was paid for invoiced and apparently shipped to Cape Town all in time for the big day 18 November. On the 16th Lisa who was organising recieved a call to say the truck had been in an accident and and the was damaged.

ANS resonds "I regret to inform you that we will not be able to supply the new unit at the new suggested price. I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused. May you please send us your banking details and we will refund you your money. Looking forward to doing more business with you in future."

Lisa's response"I am sure you can understand that failing to deliver something I have paid for and then wanting to charge me in excess of 30% more for a replacement is unacceptable."

ANS have refunded the invoice amount but I am still sitting with out a Magimix and having to pay in. In future I will rather use my local walk in appliance store to prevent such disappointment.
