Stop putting money first and deliver when promised

My bad experience with Ankara Textiles

I went to their store last week Monday to ask them to make an outfit for me that I will need this Monday, yes a bit of short notice, but before we even got to taking measurements and making payments I had already told them that I will need it Monday afternoon and asked if it’s possible and they said yes, fine, the material I wanted they didn’t have so I had to go to Metro Menlyn and buy material, no problem did that on Monday and made my deposit payment same day, fine, come Saturday they call me and suggest that I come Thursday to collect and I said no I can’t come on Thursday I am committed, the lady promised to call me back and she didn’t so we hadn’t concluded anything her and I. Monday afternoon at around 2 I headed to their store in Faerie Glen and when I got there they showed me my material as I had left it a week ago, they said they hadn’t started and that they had too many orders that came before me and had to finish them first before they start with mine. My first question to them was did you not know from Monday when I came that you had too many orders and wouldn’t be able to meet my deadline? why did you accept my order and took my money and made me go buy material knowing very well that you won’t meet my deadline, they then continued to accept that they put money first and accepted more than their capacity, they gave so much attitude in all of this, I asked to speak to the manager and they said that the manager is in a meeting and they can’t disturb his meeting because of me and my situation, I should wait and they will call me when they have told him my story….. what made me even more angry was the fact that even after they messed up they still saying give us 2 days and you will have your outfit, something they failed to do in 7 days they now want to do in 2 days. Eventually because I was not barging they called the COO to come talk to us, I told him the story as is and the guy also said 2 days to which I refused, he then said Tuesday afternoon, I refused and said Tuesday at 10 in the morning….. there is a guy there by the name of Jonathan, yhooooo his attitude is a topic for another day that one…. Jonathan with attitude said fine she can come at 10 tomorrow, almost as if he was trying to get rid of me and have me leave the store, Tuesday at 10 when I got to the shop, they had only finished the pants of which they were extremely small, the whole zip area didn’t zip so they had to fix that, ended up leaving their store around past 1 just before 2….. The only thing they give good service at is buying their material, as for the dress making business, never ever again….. To this day I am still waiting to speak to the manager or owner about the incident.
