Useless Property Management Company

So, I am a home owner at Westferry in Morningside, Gauteng.

Firstly, Aneeqah Cameron sent out an email stating that animals were not allowed in the complex dated 23 September 2019, to which I responded asking her to check with the trustees in our complex to possibly amend this point or to add this point for the next trustees meeting for a vote.

To which she didn't bother to reply, I called her office and they told me she was unavailable. I then received a response via email 5 minutes later that she had sent my email to the Trustees and would revert back to you as soon as they respond.

No response since - and it is now 25 February 2020. A whole 5 months later - and she now is on maternity leave till June 2020, meaning my email will not be responded too till she decides to come back.

The current Conduct Rules applicable to the Scheme do not allow for the housing of pets. The Trustees have received proposals to amend the Conduct Rules to allow for pets.

I know the current conduct rules as I signed them when I purchased the property. But asking for a response from Aneeqah Cameron or someone else in your company within 7 workings days is fair to ask, definitely not 5 months later. Or having to take to hellopeter to receive a response.

Also the numbers on the monthly statements don't go through. How do your company advertise a number to reach them which doesn't work?

An amendment of the Conduct Rules requires that a quorum of owners or their proxies approve any amendment by Special Resolution and said amendment must then be submitted to the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) for approval.

The Trustees have advised that a proposed amendment to the pet rule will be presented to a quorum of owners or their proxies for approval at the Annual General Meeting which is provisionally scheduled for 26 March 2020.
