Unresolved insurance Claim

Hi I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding the BC. The matter was dealt by few *********** people Lionel Mdhluli, Wallace Khumalo, Jacqueline Classen, and Melanie van Niekerk. I submitted the insurence claim last year March 2023, the was a water leak coming from the top unit which damaged my unit, so the body corporate did not treat the matter as urgent and the leak severely damaged my unit and the insurence rejected my claim because body corporate took time to report the matter, and I was not provided with the insures details, they delayed and advised that we should wait for the owner from top unit to fix the leak fist before we can submit a claim because it will be useless if they submit a claim whereas the leak from upstairs is not fixed, after the leak was fixed they then send me the claim forms which I filled in and submitted a claim to the insurence and unfortunately the claim was rejected, and this is not my fault It was rejected, I've been paying my levies on time and I don't owe them, they just decided to dragged in helping me, now I'm left with a damaged unit. I don't what I've done to deserve such treatment or ist because if my Race? I fail to understand. I tried to call few times to get clarity as to how they will get my apartment repaired, reception will advise they transferring me to a person dealing my case but it will go straight to Voice mail

At the time of being notified of the damage, ANGOR advised that leaks between owners must be resolved between owners and that resultant damage may be claimed through the Scheme’s insurance. The unit causing the damage was informed of their responsibility and accountability in repairing the cause of the damage and resultant damage. Your claim form was completed and sent to ANGOR in December 2023, however your claim form noted the date of loss as January 2023 which was only discovered in March of 2023. The unit that caused the damage only confirmed their repair of the cause in November 2023. The insurer advised that the claim will not be covered due to the damage occurring over an extensive period of time. On your insistence, the insurer appointed an assessor who inspected your unit in January 2024. Based on the assessor’s report, the insurer has again rejected the claim. The STSM Act allows you to claim your costs from the unit that has caused the damage. This may include the actual repair cost as negotiated between unit owners.
