Unprofessional misleading managing agents

Being an investor in the sectional title property market, and a site manager in a few complexes I found their hostile takeover of complexes to be very unprofessional and their advice to trustees misleading. They call an SGM meeting with points to be discussed only to dismiss the points and side with rogue self-serving trustees.

The meeting in question was requisitioned by owners, and the requested agenda items were included. However, certain proposed voting items lacked sufficient supporting information for members to properly consider and make informed decisions at that particular meeting. As such, in the interest of transparency and procedural fairness, attendees were advised at the commencement of the first voting item, being the approval of the agenda, that the affected voting items would not proceed at that time.

Our role is to support compliance with the applicable governance requirements and to help ensure that all members are provided with adequate information, following the correct procedure before decisions are made and so that decisions can be made that will not be challenged at a later stage.

We remain committed to assisting all owners in a professional and transparent manner according to the provisions of the various acts.
