Unjust Fine and Lack of Professionalism from Angor Property Management

I would rate this company zero stars if I could.

Long story short, I rented out my unit in Katara, Midrand. One of the members of the Body Corporate (the same person who once threatened to shoot me while I was living there) made a noise complaint against my tenant. Without any proper investigation, discussion, or meeting between the parties, Angor Property Management added a R4,000+ fine to my account.

I contacted Angor to explain the situation and pointed out that the complainant has a clear personal bias against me and is trying to drive away all my tenants. I also requested evidence proving that my tenant was at fault. Instead of providing a professional response, Angor dismissed my concerns with a rude and disrespectful tone. I was told that I had "no proof" of my claims, that the matter was between me and the complainant, and that I should "speak to a lawyer."

When I asked if they had proof of the alleged noise disturbance, they had no answer. I then emailed Angor requesting a meeting with the Body Corporate. Now, over a month has passed, and there has been no response.

Is it fair that a Body Corporate member can make baseless complaints and impose fines without evidence, just because they are in a position of influence? Does Angor really believe it is acceptable to add fines to a customer’s account without providing any proof or support?

This behavior is not only unprofessional but also *********. It feels like Angor is enabling biased actions by certain members of the Body Corporate, leaving me and my tenants with no support or recourse.

I demand accountability and fair treatment from Angor Property Management. Fines should not be imposed without proper investigation, evidence, and communication. Ignoring customer concerns and hiding behind dismissive responses is unacceptable.

If this matter is not resolved, I will consider further legal action and will not hesitate to escalate this issue to the relevant property authorities in South Africa.
