unfair treatment by Angor Admin

I just bought a apartment where Angor is the property management company. After moving in to the property, water starts coming in to the bedroom from the wall.. there is also a leak coming from the wall in the bedroom. Before moving into the apartment i was renting in the same complex. The apartment i was renting had the same issue, water coming from the walls in the bathroom, the passage and the living room. The owner of the apartment emailed the body corporate(Angor) and spoke with Gaby Schultz who organized plumbers to come and inspect the leakages. I then told my old landlord about my water issue to which she told me to contact Gaby at Angor to assist. When i told Gaby about the water problem in the apartment she said internal issues are the owners responsibility and not body corporate. I then asked her why my issue was treated differently from my old landlords to which she ask I send proof of my statement.

There are 3 difference between me and my landlord. 1 I am young she is old, 2 I am male she is female and 3 I am black and she is white. 1 of these has to be the reason I am being treated differently. When I logged the issue I was asked to provide photos and documented proof my landlord was not asked for any of these. My landlord's issue was resolved in a day, Gaby and I have been going back and forth on email for 4 days now while I have a huge puddle in the bedroom.

The new owner of Unit 67 notified ANGOR of a leak on Friday 2021/07/02 12:50 PM. The process to identify the origin of the leak was explained to him. He was also made aware of the responsibilities of the owner vs those of the Body Corporate.  The owner made reference to a leak within the unit itself and not on common property.

Unit 136, to which he makes reference, had a leak from another unit. The owner had previously identified this and engaged a contractor to perform the required inspection.  The owner of unit 136 had provided on our request the exact same information, however had already attached photos in her first communication to ANGOR, thereby negating the need to ask for this again.

Each of the owners received equal feedback well within our return call policy, and no preferential treatment was given to one or the other.
