shocking service and security

since i moved into The Meridian in Solheim, Germiston i have had endless problems with both Angor and their security guards at The Meridian.

The gym

the complex is advertised with a gym yet for close to a month around 30% of the machines are broken, chairs are broken and the quality of the water is shocking. i felt sick after drinking the water and i am sure the water does not comply with department of water affairs standards. why advertise the complex with a gym if the gym has broken equipment??

Security guards

the guards were seen watching soccer in the gym. is this what we are paying for? Their attitude is shocking. The biometric system is being upgraded and a few times we were forced to use the entrance gates to exit the complex. today, 3/10/2016, at approximately 7am there were orange cones at the exit gate which any person would assume means that the gate is closed to access. i then used the entrance gate and waited for a guard to assist. he came through and started shouting at me saying "how can you exit from this gate" and "have you ever used this gate before". Of course i did when the exit gate was closed. Is the way he spoke to me acceptable? I am sick and tired of the guards' double standards and how they talk to other people with respect yet i am always disrepected. this is shocking and appalling and if his behaviour is not rectified i will take this further. i will not be spoken down to by anyone especially if i am not wrong. a cone in front of a gate means that access is closed.

Sholeen Kasipersadh

Her customer service is shocking and is in need of a lot of training as she does not know how to get back to customers. i am wating for 2 months for her to get back to me on an incident and i am tired of apologies. in approximately June 2016 i was trying to leave the complex. the guard stopped me to talk to me about my vehicle registration number as i am formally from Durban. he could see i wanted to leave but insisted on talking about Durban instead of doing his job. eventually he used his fingerprint to open the gate and stepped to the side to let me drive off. as i drove off, the gate closed on my car causing serious damage to the car. this was reported to Walter Smith who stated that i tailgated and did not use my fingerprint to open the gate. if the guard used his fingerpint what must i do? how can i tail gate someone when the guard stopped me at the gate to talk? This is ridiculous. it seems like Angor is doing everything they can to make it seem like i am guilty. i then gave examples of people who tailgated and raced up behind me almost knocking me as i was leaving the complex with the times, registration numbers etc yet Angor did nothing about it. there are different rules for different people at The Meridian. Sholeen informed me in August that she will get back to me yet has not. Obviously she will never get back to me as she is pathetic at her job. I then forwarded the email correspondence to ********** and he did not reply. I expected that as i can see that Angor is a company you do not want to do business with. It amazes me how walter smith and sholeen both cannot see that a gate with sensors should not close on a car. that is the function of a sensor yet it did close on my car. would angor like it if i damaged their property like how the gate damaged mine?

i am still waiting for a resolution on that matter.

i am sick and tired of Angor, their customer service, their security guards and the attitudes, the false promises, the damage to my car and how angor is doing everything they can to make it seem like i am at fault and being ignored by sholeen. this is shocking.

it seems like my only option now is to report this to one of the newspapers so that the public can see who angor really is.

We apologise if you believe you have not received service at our required high standard, but wish to advise you that ANGOR has been appointed by your trustees to act as your managing agent. In this capacity, we are only responsible for managing the financial affairs of your complex. Your trustees have appointed an estate manager, who manages the day-to-day business of the complex, including the gym. They also appointed the security company who reports to your estate manager.
We referred the points you raised regarding the gym to the correct channel and they advised us that the gym is currently being serviced and they are busy with the re-upholstery of the equipment. The trustees intend to add 2 x spinning bikes and 1 x treadmill in the near future. Access to the gym is currently via a finger print system, but members are bypassing this system, and therefore the gym management are investigating other access options. Water in the gym is supp**** by the municipality and is run off the same water system which feeds the rest of the complex, so we are unable to assist in this area.
We have also raised your security issues with the estate manager, and will liaise directly with you when we receive a response on this complaint.
With regards to your complaint on ANGOR's service, kindly note that Sholeen has left our employ. An ANGOR representative will be contacting you directly to put you in contact with the responsible party who will assist in resolving your complaints.
