Roof Leaked
We have had a leaked (UNIT 123 Block 7 Jabulani Heights) in our Bedroom from the unit upstairs from us for over 5 months if not more now. My wall and wardrobe and bed is completely damaged and there's water leaking from the ceiling into our bedroom. We have lodged a complaint to the property managers but the emails just keep on going back and forth I constantly have to keep hounding them for any feedback. This is terrible service indeed, to make matter worse the entire ceiling can collapse . I Reported the issue as soon as I noticed it, our caretaker has done the same but still nothing has been done. What is the point of calling yourself property managers when you fail to respond to problems with your property? I am totally disappointed, angry and fed up with such treatment.
Thank you for contacting ANGOR. This matter is out of ANGOR’s control as ANGOR’s role is to manage the finances of your scheme. The maintenance at your scheme is performed by contractors selected by your Trustees and the caretaker. Your query was received by the ANGOR team and forwarded to the Trustees and caretaker.
The damage to your unit is from a suspected leak in the unit above you, but, on inspection, no visible leak was found. It was determined that more thorough detection needs to be done but the owner of the unit above you did not give permission for the process. The caretaker suggested non-invasive leak detection. ANGOR and the Trustees are waiting for feedback on this suggestion. You may escalate the situation to CSOS, the ombud for community schemes, for resolution.
