Rental deposit still not payed back a month after moving out

I was residing at no 20 180 Webber Road in Sandton, property managed by Angor. We sent in a notice to say we will be moving out on the 30th of November 2016. Jana Reingold who did the entry and exit inspection informed us that our deposit should be payed back to us within 15 days from the day the exit inspection was undertaken. Meaning that by the 15th of December 2016 we should have received our deposit. On the 14th of December I emailed Zarina Jhinnabhoy (Rental Accounts Administrator) to find out how far they are with this. She then responded to say 14-20 working days. I further sent Zarina an enquiry on the 21st of December 2016 and got no response from her since then. The 14-20 working days they speak of has elapsed and still no one has gotten back to us in this regard. During my one year dealing with Angor, I was not fully impressed with their management regarding things that needed fixing (ie. Our stove, lights and dstv) to sat the least. To think when you are moving in they chase you down to pay the deposit but when it's now time for them to return the deposit - zero urgency!. It's also very dissapointing to read similar complaints on this platform dating back to early 2015. Angor, urgently attend to this complaint as this is utterly unacceptable honestly.

Thank you for contacting us. The deposit can only be released once the unit has been inspected and any repairs necessary have been done. Due to the holiday period the contractors were unable to access the unit in order to quote on necessary repairs. The unit was inspected this week and the quote is being checked. Once the repairs have been apportioned to the owner and yourselves, the amount will be deducted from the deposit and the remainder of the deposit returned. We thank you again for your patience and understanding during this process.
