No answer and no one cares

Our municipal charges are billed at business rates and not residential rates.

Inform us of when this will be corrected

The account you are referring to is the Rates and Taxes account, which is issued by the City of Johannesburg, who is also the responsible party for addressing any queries in this regard.

The previous chairman of Thora Court tried to assist the owners with getting their accounts corrected. He communicated with various people in this regard.

When enquiring with the City of Johannesburg, their response to ANGOR was that they have updated the accounts.

ANGOR cannot confirm which accounts were updated and which were not. Owners would need to contact the City of Johannesburg themselves to follow up and have the accounts corrected.

The problem is that ANGOR sent out letters giving ANGOR the right to act on this matter. The owners are under the impression that ANGOR is sorting out the issue. It is unfair to pin this on the previous chairman. Yes, instruction were given by him and the other trustees, but it is ANGOR who lack communication. NO communication was given to the owners on the status of the query. If we as owners had to sort out the issue, why keep quiet? How long would it take to draft a letter saying that you tried to resolve the issue, but were unsuccessful and that the owners need to take it up with CoJ? Now we are under the impression that ANGOR is busy with the query only to receive letters of demand and to hear that you stopped working on the issue
