Levy Clearance figures are a ripoff from Angor

A flat I own and have now sold is in a complex Lake Como Florida and managed by ANGOR. A few months ago they sent me an email to say the geyser had a leak and it will cost about R1600 Rand to repsir. When I challenged them on it they said I can get my own plumber but it is better to use their appointed one which I did. The plumber went to the site and there was no leak but said I had to pay them because they can’t invoice ANGOR. I did and duly deducted the cost from my next levy payment. Now they don’t want to credit me and are charging me legal cost for late payment on the clearance certificate to the lawyers. We can’t get hold of them because Belinda won’t return our calls or emails. My flat has been empty for the past few months and my levies have been paid up to date yet they are also charging me R975 for the clearance on the levy account they say because they can

Thank you for contacting us.

The plumber’s invoice will be credited to your levy account and deducted from your clearance figures. We apologise for the error with regards to the call-out and invoice. A new set of clearance figures will be generated.

Our clearance fee amount is market related for the work involved. Unfortunately, we cannot reduce this amount.

Kindly note that the water is recovered by Participation Quota and is billed two months in arrears on the levy statements. The water is estimated and billed accordingly on the Clearance Figures.

Should we have overestimated the charge, a refund will be done, once the transfer has gone through and actual water charges have been received and billed.
