*********** Angor

Angor are not transparent. They provide little to no information and communication. Their management skills are non-existent (to the point where our body corporate funds have been squandered). Furthermore, the do not stick to deadlines, the perform no property maintenance (although they do make promises and raise special levies! But who knows where this money goes..).

In short Angor are pathetic. I recommened avoiding any complexes or properties they manage.

Thank you for posting on Hello Peter.

With regards to information and communication: All communication to owners from ANGOR has to be approved by the Board of Trustees, as we act on behalf of the Board of Trustees and carry out their instructions.  At the recent SGM, ANGOR proposed to the Trustees and Owners present, that the Board of Trustees should start drafting monthly newsletters, which will keep the owners updated on all matters pertaining to the Scheme.  With regards to maintenance: There is a common misconception that Managing Agents are responsible for Scheme maintenance, which is not the case. As Managing Agents we are responsible for the financial and secretarial tasks as outlined in the agreement between the Scheme and ANGOR and, as per our memorandum of agreement, ANGOR assists the Trustees with obtaining quotations for maintenance work. It is the Trustees role to approve the quotes, appoint the contractors and manage the maintenance projects.  The financial position of the Scheme has been affected by 50% of owners not paying their levies or paying their levies late, as well as the recent City of Johannesburg issue on the electricity account.   It was agreed at the SGM that documents will be provided to all owners within 14 days of the meeting. The timeline was set to allow time to receive documents from external providers, as ANGOR does not hold all the required documents. The owners present at the SGM accepted the timeframe proposed. The documents will be provided to all owners by Close of Business 23 October 2020.
