INCOMPETENCE AND DEPOSIT STILL NOT PAID AFTER A WHOLE MONTH!!!!!!
I am absolutely dissapointed in the service received from Angor managing a unit in Fourways. This rental property agency is far from the word "reputable", considering their incompetence and failure to honor a rental agreement by paying my deposit after the 20 days despite having attended to the required repairs to be done on the unit. Its been over a month and I need to keep calling the agent to find out about my deposit being refunded. Instead i keep getting emails about further cleanung that needs to be done on the unit well over a month. This is a clear abuse of its powers as a property agent.

14 May 2019, 09:54ANGOR, as the Rental Managing Agent, holds the deposit in a trust account on behalf of the landlord and tenant for safekeeping. When a tenant moves into a unit, an entry inspection is done. When the tenant is ready to move out an exit inspection is done. These 2 inspection reports are compared and items are noted as wear and tear or damage over time of the lease. The items that are wear and tear are for the landlord to maintain. Items noted as damage must be repaired at the cost of the tenant. Quotes are presented to the tenant and landlord for approval and once approved by both parties, the repairs are carried out.
In this instance the unit was vacated at the end of March 2019. You requested to conduct the maintenance and repairs which you were responsible for yourself and the landlord agreed to this arrangement. ANGOR was notified that the work was completed in the first week of May 2019. The landlord checked and approved the repairs on 9 May 2019, but requested for the carpets to be cleaned as well. ANGOR can only release the deposit when both the landlord and the exiting tenant agree that the repairs are completed. As the carpet cleaning is still being negotiated between yourself and the landlord, we are unable to release the deposit.

ANGOR has been in contact with both the landlord and yourself in an attempt to resolve the queries.
