Double check every "working fixture" before signing to purchase with Angor Property Specialists. SO *********.

Absolutely terrible service received when purchasing a property through Angor, Margi Boon from the fourways branch in particular. Before signing the offer to purchase we confirmed with her verbally that the air con in the top loft was in perfect working order and that the property had a working adsl/telkom line which was also confirmed. Both those confirmations swayed us on purchasing the property and we in good faith put in our offer that day "as another couple also wanted to put in an offer" the same day which we believe is now false based on all the other lies. Upon moving in our water had been switched off at the mains which we didn't discover until two days later upon querying why we had no water as the rest of the complex had, we were then told by Margi that the owner had switched it off himself. The minute we turned it back on the toilet in the downstairs bathroom started leaking badly. Further to this we discovered that the aircon which had been advertised by angor on their online property adverti*****t as a working fixture which was confirmed as working by Margi Boon did in fact NOT work. R3400 later and the previous owner re**** on a secondary voetstoets clause that he had drawn up separately to the usual voetstoets clause in the offer to purchase. Finally, the telkom line which we queried at the time of signing the offer, that was confirmed as in full working order was hanging from the wall when we moved in which Margi said "she hadn't had time to see to it yet" so the ball was in our court only to discover three days later from a telkom technician that the line has been yanked right out and needs to be relayed. We are still struggling a month and a half later to get our line up which has cost us a fortune in LTE data. We would have never bought the property had these things been disclosed and we feel we were duped properly by both the previous owner as well as Angor Properties. We found it incredibly strange at first that the owner wanted a separate voetstoets clause and we now know why. Further after we had complained we never had any follow up or recourse but to go the small claims court and we had absolutely no comfort or follow up from Margi Boon thereafter, Angor properties and Mr Strugnell should be ashamed of themselves. ********* beyond words. We believe that the agent knew of these defects but **** to us with the owner to get her sale through. We will never rent from or buy from Angor again and trust me I will tell everyone who is willing to listen to keep far away or at least check those "working" fixtures when dealing with Angor.

Thank you for contacting ANGOR.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused to yourself in this regard.

The Sales team received a detailed list of faults in the unit from the seller, all of which were repaired by the seller. The air-conditioning unit and Telkom line appear not to be noted on this list and it was therefore understood that these items were in working order. While we understand your frustration, it is the buyer’s responsibility to test all plugs, fittings and fitted appliances, before signing any documentation.

In an attempt to resolve this matter, and as telephonically agreed, the Sales team have undertaken to have a Telkom line installed at their cost.

Please accept our and the Sales team’s sincere apologies.
