Dishonest practices - unauthorized fees
I sold my flat at the Candace Glades complex in Northwold. We needed levy clearance. My bond Attoney calls me to say they wont issue as i need to pay legal fees. I have no idea what fees are owing to which lawyer. I dont even no when any account was handed over. Received no communication, all i no is that levy’s were paid and it showed on the statement. Now when its time to sell im told R14000 in legal fees are outstanding for a flat that owed no more than 5000!!!

14 Oct 2019, 15:40The levy account was in arrears by in August 2017, and handed over for collection. A part payment towards this amount was received. In December 2017 the account was in arrears, and a second part payment was made by the owner. As at April 2018 a third part payment was received.

14 Oct 2019, 15:40From April 2018 to date the levy account has not been paid monthly as required. The legal fees now due and payable are for the arrears from 2017 to date, which has been handed over to an attorney for collection.
