Disgusting services Angor prop management

Angor property services are the worst.... Their services are deplorable and substandard. The landlord lives out of the country they take a percentage of his rental but do not service him or his tenants. I was without hot water for 3 days during the long weekend of Aug 9 and they refused to help. I understand they had to get permission from the landlord but I logged the call on a Saturday morning and according to them I had to wait till Tuesday till they get permission from the landlord because their call centre didn't have facilities to whatsapp call the landlord to get permission. I as a tenant had to do all the work phone the landlord and get him to call their call centre and give them permission on a Sunday to repair the geyser. The landlord would now have to pay double for a Sunday callaout. On Tuesday 11th August I emailed my frustration to the agent Belinda Kleynhans who is supposedly Investigating why this happened and to date no response from her. Today the geyser stopped working again and I logged the call at 2pm and again had a, conversation with Belinda Kleynhans and after numerous calls and emails the plumber arrives after hours and after half an hour when all the offices are closed says it is now an electrical fault. Angor call centre apparently doesn't have electricians to come out after hours and are battling to commission an electrician. For all the inconvenience and frustrations numerous, calls and emails I surely hope they don't expect to receive their rental and commission this month. All of this during a pandemic when we need to get straight into the shower after a day at work. Angor just doesn't care but I'm sure they will still deduct their percentage from the landlord every month. Also for the 3 years that I am here they have not once inspected the property on the landlords behalf.

Thank you for contacting us via Hello Peter.

As you mentioned in your post, we are not permitted to authorise work to be done on an owner’s unit without the owner’s permission, especially where a cost to the owner is involved. The team received your query on 7 August 2021. The matter was escalated to the Rental Management team, who attended to the query on the morning of 10 August 2021. As you mentioned, plumbers attended to the fault on 8 August 2021. The Rental Management team confirmed approval with the owner on 10 August 2021.

We will review the process of contacting landlords over weekends and public holidays to improve our efficiency, and apologise for the frustration you experienced.

We received a second query from you on 16 August 2021, advising that there was no hot water. The plumbers that effected the repair on 8 August 2021 were requested to return and attend to the issue, as their work is under guarantee. The plumbers confirmed that they had contacted you directly and confirmed that they would be on-site during the course of the day. The plumbers discovered that the fault is electrical in nature, which would need to be repaired by an electrician. The team is obtaining approval from the owner for the cost associated with an electrician’s call-out and repairs. Once the owner has given approval, we can make arrangements for an electrician to attend to the fault.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this process and assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to have the fault resolved.

Regarding inspections of the unit, these are done on request from the owner.
