DEPOSIT NOT PAID BACK
We were renting a townhouse at Cedar Hills since Dec'14. We submitted our notice on the 1st of Sep'15 with the intention to move out on the last day of September. Prior to moving in we paid a deposit of 8500. This is supposed to be paid out by the 14th day after we have left the premises. It is the 20th today and we still have not received our deposit back. Firstly there were issues of a leakage in the unit above us that made a black mark in our bathroom ceiling-this issue was reported back in April already and no one took priority in fixing it-till the day we decided to move out. After being accused that it was caused by us not opening our windows.Thank goodness we had recorded the water dripping from the ceiling!! So now that we have \saved ourselves"from being liable to pay for that damage"

For the record, please note your lease agreement allows between 14 and 21 days for inspections and quotations prior to the deposit being refunded and we are within that time at today's date. As discussed with you, the reason for the delay in refund was because we were awaiting your advice that the necessary repairs had been done and that we could make a final inspection. Once the final inspection has been done we will liaise with you regarding the balance due to be refunded to you.
