Angor Property Management trying to be no.1 at being indifferent.

Angor's Property Management contract with the developer of our complex provides them with so much income security that they are left with no option but to treat residents with disdain and indifference. Madeleine de Jager, one of Angor's Portfolio Specialist Assistants is proof of that. She must be commended for taking this to the next level by letting residents know that they are in her way and not worth helping. I have a pending case with her since 22 May. Ah, bliss.

Thank you for raising your concern.

Our investigation reveals the following:

The initial contact was made with the developer, and Madeleine was not copied in this communication. Madeleine was forwarded an email from the Estate Manager on the 4 July 2018.

Madeleine responded on the same day and advised the owner that there is no need to register with City of Johannesburg. (The communication explained that The Polofields is a residential association because it is 99- year lease property and therefore the account will be in the name of the land owner, Waterfall Estate. It further outlined that the individual owners would however be responsible for the rates and taxes, and that Waterfall Estate Management was in the process of finalising a portal for owners to be able to download their rates account directly. The email also stated that we hoped that this would be resolved by end of July.)

The owner requested that he be kept up to date, as he would not want to run behind with the rates and taxes.

In early August the Comms Team of Waterfall Estate advised that the communication regarding the portal will be communicated by the Estate Manager via the Whatsapp groups, as soon as the August COJ statements and August levy statements have been loaded.

On Friday 31 August the owner requested an update, and was advised by Madeleine that the COJ accounts were now available on the portal. He then responded with “which portal I was referring to?” The request was then forwarded to the Comms Team of Waterfall Estate to assist. The Comms Team of Waterfall Estate made contact with the owner on the same day.

Once the occupation checklist has been received from the developer, we will be able to update the owner on our system to receive monthly levy statements going forward.
