Disintegrating soles

Disintegrating soles: I have been a loyal and regular buyer of Angel Shoes for the past 25 years. My shoes have always lasted for many years except the past year. Over the years I have collected around 30 pairs of Angels (shoes and sandals). This year I have had to discard 6 pairs and last year 2 pairs - all of them when the soles disintegrated. The uppers are still perfect and the insides soles too. I have complained numerous times to the Northumberland branch where I usually buy. I have been given the run around by various staff who, in my opinion, try to "cover-up" a factory fault with a specific type of sole. The story that if you do not wear the shoes at least once a week is absolute hogwash. We all know that there are winter and summer shoes and, depending on the season, some shoes are stored for a few months. Similarly if you wear a shoe too often on consecutive days the staff say the soles pack up - what utter hogwash. I was even offered an opportunity to return a pair to the Durban factory who would replace the soles for R150 - only to be told a month later that no, this is not possible. I love the shoes, but they are not cheap. Surely Angel must fix this problem and find a way to compensate customers where it is clear the problem is not normal wear and tear but a manufacturing deficit. I have thrown out a number of pairs, but I still have 3 pairs right with disintegrating soles if you need proof of my complaint.
