Overcharge

Andy's Electrical was contacted to connect a mechanical pool timer after the initial attempt by homeowner failed. We were informed that there would be a R 350 call out charge and that a technician would be onsite by 4:30 pm and would not proceed with the work until a estimate had been given.The technician arrived at approximately 4:40 pm. The job took approximately 45 minutes to complete after the technician identified that the wires were swapped around by the homeowner. Without giving a quotation the technician presented the homeowner with a bill of R 1600 for the 45 minutes of labour as there was no materials required and only involved connecting 4 wires. The homeowner challenged the outrageous bill which Andy has defended because the work was done in after hours. The after hours issue was never told to the homeowner or could have been rescheduled and no estimate was given which is the company's policy. Andy was contacted to pass some credit for the overcharge, he would not return calls. After 4 calls to the company Andy refused to pass a credit. Andy's Electrical is a *******!!!!
