Are you genuine into this profession or a *****ster?
One star is a lot!! Appalling service from Andrew Thomas Attorneys. I honestly started questioning the integrity of this firm. I was buying a house through the bank. Everything seemed to be going well. I went to sign with the bank attorneys, and this firm was recommended by my agent at the time. They were waiting for paperwork from the bank attorneys to start, specifically the guarantee letter, which I had to follow up on myself to avoid delays. As soon as they got the guarantee, they said they couldn't proceed without a clearance certificate for rates and taxes from the seller. Before that could even be obtained, the bank instructed that the deal be cancelled — no reasons given. That's a story for another day. I immediately notified the firm and requested a refund. This was early this year, and to this day, I am still fighting to get my money back. Mr. Andrew Thomas himself has been emailed, called, contacted on WhatsApp and SMS — and he has now blocked my number, just for asking for a breakdown of work done and my refund. First he told the agent he still needed to get the breakdown. When I pointed out that it had been requested months ago, he then claimed I made multiple payments with different references. When I corrected him that it was a single, once-off payment with one reference, he said I would lose 85% of my payment. When I questioned that, it suddenly became 75%, with what looked like an AI-generated explanation. And I have tried — endlessly — to resolve this amicably. It took him more than six months to even respond, and when he finally did, there is nothing concrete. No breakdown. No refund. While awaiting the Law Society to intervene in this matter, I’m left asking — is this firm in this profession to genuinely help people, or just to take their hard-earned money?
