Don't pay this guy before job is done.

Once you pay this guy the "deposit", forget about your money. Save your money, don't use this guy. He is not professional, doesn't pick calls, doesn't update you. But before payment he seems legit, as soon as payment is done, he just doesn't care.

This client mandated me ten days ago to locate a person and repossess a car of which this person took over the installments a few years ago. He paid a small deposit to cover the initial cost. The reason for this request was that the installments were in arrears and the car not insured as agreed. After visiting several previous addresses , i located this person and the vehicle. This client ignored requests to state the amount of the arrears. He then admitted that the installments is currently paid up to date. When i approached this person to collect the vehicle, he presented proof that the vehicle is insured too. He then went on to explain that he paid a large deposit to my client and all the installments for a few years now. He also revealed that he has regular contact with my client and approached the consumer commission for protection of his rights. He is not prepared to part with the vehicle as it is now nearing the point of being fully paid for and then it will become his property.
It became clear to me that my client misled me and has no grounds for repossessing the vehicle. It will be ******* for me to carry out his instructions. At the re-opening of my business on Jan 9, a final invoice and report will be presented to this client. In the unlikely event of him having a credit balance after costs, he will be promptly refunded as i do not engage in any ******* actions on behalf of any client. During the past 10 days, i sent the client 37 messages to inform him of what i found. These records are available. I can therefore not see the reason for him to feel ignored and reject his claims in this regard. For instance, i received a message from him at 04h06 on Dec 15. I rep**** to this message at 05h15 on the same day. I also promptly responded to messages received at 22h45 at night. With all respect, very few people will respond to non-emergency correspondence at those hours. I am proud of my response times to messages from this client and dispute every claim in his review.

This is nonsense. Andre clearly got fooled by this guy and it seems did not even understand the circumstances of this situation to begin with. I wouldn't want to take my car back for no reason, I have 3 cars already. I don't need another one, that's why I sold it in the first place. Andre please send me proof that this guy was 1. Paying installments by the 1st of every month via debit order and 2. Had the vehicle insured at all times ever since he took over the vehicle. These were the 2 conditions of our agreement and I have proof that it is not happening hence I need to take my car back. This guy had the car without insurance for over 2 years, only rushing to get it insured on 1 December 2016 when I threatened to take it back. He is not paying by the due date every time, most times pays 2 weeks late. As I am typing this right now, he still has not paid this month's installment which was due on the 1st as per our agreement. Because the car is still in my name, this is messing up my credit record and directly affects my future capital purchases negatively. And Andre says I have no grounds to take my car back? If a tenant keeps not paying rent on time don't they get kicked out? Or according to Andre there's no grounds to ask them to leave? We have a written agreement signed and stamped by the police, and the guy is not abiding by it at all. Therefore he must return the car. If it wasn't for the fact that he agreed to the 2 conditions of the agreement above, I wouldn't have done it with him in the first place. FYI, the car's vehicle licence expired in June 2016 and up to now it has not been renewed because the Traffic Department cannot print a new disc due to the amount of infringements that have piled up against that vehicle. And it's all in my name, which costing me big time. And I have no grounds to take my car back?
In fact, before this guy signed the agreement he had intentionally omitted commitment to those 2 terms in his affidavit. I had to make him redo it. I have proof of this, and it shows he had intended to not abide by it from the beginning. I can't keep fighting every month with a person to abide by an agreement they signed for. They must return the car, that's all, because they are failing to hold their end of the stick.
Andre must get the facts right before jumping into doing or not doing his assigned tasks. You sent 37 messages? After how many of my follow up messages? 100? If your response was good we wouldn't be communicating on this platform. You know that.
Looking forward to receiving my refund on the 9th. Am sure there is more efficient and effective professionals out there. When you have refunded me, you can post the proof of payment here and then we close our case. Thanks.

Oh and as long as I get my car back and am out of this mess, I am prepared to pay the guy whatever is required if at all. I just want this stress to be over. That "large deposit" mentioned there is a 20k by the way, which I can even pay back now to save myself from all this trouble. I could pay just about anything, that's how much I can't stand being in this situation.
