Rejection of claim

My car registration TSL223GP was involved in a failed hijack on the 07th February 2015. I conducted Anderson insurance for them to tow my vehicle as the ******s managed only to take the car keys from the ignition.

My car was towed to Great South Autobody by Anderson road side assist. I filled in the claim form that I was sent by Anderson Insurance stating what happened and the police affidavit .The panel beater sent me the quotation, which I forwarded to Anderson to process. The quotation was having many doubts and I notified claim consultant George from Anderson insurance. It took 3 weeks for the assessor to asses my vehicle and the feedback. A digital assessment was done and the insurance was not happy with the quotation. A re-assessment was asked and it took another 2 weeks for feedback.
I was sent the rejection letter by Anderson legal department stating that my claim was rejected because of false claims that I claimed for old dents. I was told also to fetch my car from the panelbeater to avoid storage fees whilst they are still investigating my claim. I failed to understand the reason for the rejection as I was not given a chance to ask for other quotations.

Hello londym,

We understand your frustration, however, you need to follow the correct appeal procedure as stated in your communication that you have received, if you are not happy with the out come.

Kind regards,
