Horrible Establishment

I refer to the following complaints with regards to the state of the holiday accommodation that was provided to my family during the Easter Holidays, Anchorage 1. Upon booking the holiday we were promised clean and sanitary living conditions and a safe and healthy environment for my family during this period. However what we found shocked and disgusted us. The problems were as follows. 1. All furniture was covered in a layer of dust; this is inclusive of the bedding and the sleeper couch that my mother and I had to wipe down before I could sleep on it. 2. The bedroom that my parents slept in had a soiled, browning mattress that itched with bed bugs, so much so that we could not stay in that room for more than a few minutes upon arrival. I spent a good part of my first day of my vacation vacuuming the room, and the bed, something that guests are not supposed to be doing. Please see attached pictures for reference. 3. No hangers were provided in any and all cupboards, upon request a hodgepodge of hangars were given to us the following day. 4. No **** scoop was provided upon the property for our dogs despite my mother requesting one on numerous occasions. We eventually had to make one using a coke bottle 5. Adequate plates and bowls were not provided, when we arrived we had one plastic bowl and two small steel dishes that were given to us to use for the braai we were having. 6. No sheets were provided despite requesting such for the sleeper, I had to make do with a blanket being laid down to sleep on. 7. The house was dusty and dirty with cobwebs in corners and dirt on the floor that we had to sweep and vacuum before we could settle in. It was further not aired out. 8. Our bin was never taken out or removed during cleaning; by the Monday when we left it was rank with two days’ worth of garbage. We further found the bin half filled with garbage upon arrival, which was never taken out. We were further not provided with a replacement bin packet for the bin despite requesting as such. 9. The hot water knob in the shower was unattached, each time I had to reattach the knob back in order to even open the hot water. 10. The sink tap was broken and was fixed with a piece of duct tape wrapped around it. We paid for the accommodation, accommodation that was wholly misrepresented on your website, and wholly inadequate for a paying family of four. The accommodation was disgusting and below par for even a three star establishment. We did not pay for the grand hotel, I understand that, however we did pay for cleanliness and to be provided with the basic necessities for a three night stay in the holiday home, basic necessities that we had to request more than once, and at one point do the job that your cleaners failed to do and were paid for. We did walk around the complex and found that the other cottages looked better equipped and better maintained than the cottage that we stayed in, Anchorage 1. We left the cottage in better and cleaner conditions than how we found it. We informed Angie and her fiancée on a number of occasions about the shortcomings of the guest house yet you failed to at least make an attempt to make it better. I do not recommend Anchorage to be the place to stay when you go to the South Coast on Holiday.
