FIRST and definitely the LAST time I will ever use Anchor Plumbing ...............

<p>I received an sms on 15 Sept 2016 from an unknown company offering 24 Hour Electrical, Plumbing and Appliance Repairs - All Areas. Free Quote.</p> <p>Since I was experiencing a problem with my washing machine, I contacted the company, Anchor Plumbing, and arranged for someone to come and inspect the appliance. The technician who was dispatched to inspect the appliance appeared to be knowledgeable and after explaining what he considered would be the appropriate remedial action, he contacted the office to request permission to remove the appliance from my premises for repair since he anticipated the job would take approximately 7 hours. Shortly after the technician contacted the office, I received a quotation via sms for the repair, which I duly accepted, and the appliance was taken away.</p> <p>The next day, I paid the amount that had been quoted and emailed through proof of payment. That afternoon, the technician messaged me to advise that the appliance had been repaired and arrangements were made for delivery the following day. The technician delivered the appliance the following day, as arranged. At this point, I was suitably impressed with the prompt and efficient service.</p> <p>That evening, when returning from work, I discovered that my washing machine had unsightly scratches in several places! I emailed a complaint with photographs to Anchor Plumbing 2 days ago, and am still awaiting an acknowledgement or response from them.</p> <p>I am appalled at the lack of respect with which my appliance was handled, especially considering the amount that I was charged to have the machine repaired! I do not believe it to be an unrealistic expectation that my appliance be returned to me WITHOUT unsightly scratches! In addition, the problem I was having with the appliance appears to have been “marginally” remedied, which begs the question, did I pay for minimal mechanical repairs and extensive aesthetic damage to be done to an appliance that costs R8,500.00!</p>
