AMS FANS UNHAPPY CLIENT

I recently purchased a KDD 10/10 550w centrifugal fan from AMS fans.

The fan did not come with any instructions and we were assured that this was the fan we needed and would work as we needed (as we explained to the sales man at AMS all our requirements for the specific fan needed) The sales man the sold us this KDD 10/10, We brought in our personal electrician who has worked on my house electrics for many years, as I stated before - THERE WAS NO MANUAL WITH THIS FAN!!! My electrician therefor wired the fan as per their little diagram by the cables, Once plugged in - the power ran and then all of a sudden pop and a flame - we quickly removed the power. We contacted AMS to advise them about the situation and took the fan back to them explaining the situation. The fan was tested and we were told it was negligent installation from my electrician - But when I tried to express that there was no manual with the product and my electrician followed the exact diagram on the fan we were told it was still incorrect and not much more information given to us. I am extremely unhappy with this situation and not only was there no manual provided - the sales mans knowledge on the product was further then low with him stating he knows nothing about wiring yet sold us this expensive fan guaranteeing it was what we needed and correct.

I do believe this is VERY unfair and would like feedback on if getting a lawyer involved would be best.
