They are absolute ****mers, you can see their reviews. They told me R1200 +- to install a stove over a year ago. They came, made up a story about the counter needing trimming for it to fit, the technician went from the middle of Sandton and took three hours to come back with a Jigsaw that costs R400 to buy new. They then installed the stove, took the jigsaw worth R400 and charged me R1400 extra for the jigsaw work (keeping the jigsaw for themselves as well FYI) and the total bill was R4200 + to install a stove I bought for R3700. Including paying fror the technicians 2 hour lunch break at callout rates. I tried calling to calmly discuss the invoice, before I could finish my first sentence, a horrific woman screamed they are handing me over to debt collectors if I don't pay immediately (she told me she would make me regret not paying) and hung up, I was handed over to debt collection 2 days after the job, the day after I got the invoice and called to query it. They use harassment and ************ tactics and work in collusion with a legal firm called MG Attorneys Inc in Sandton. Be very careful, this is a very sophisticated **** operation.

I was given a quote for the installation of an EV charger, based on Amptex's questions, which I answered accurately. Two days after the job was complete, I received an invoice for 41% higher than the agreed amount. At no point did Amptex let me know that a revised quote was needed because the installers thought a new route for the cable was the better choice, as is required by law. I was not given the option to approve or decline the revised cost (I would have declined) and only became aware of it when slapped with the bigger bill two days later. Furthermore, the technicians (very dangerously) put the wrong labels on the sub DB board (they labelled a switch flicking between Eskom supply and my inverter supply the wrong way around). The installers were friendly and the operations team was initially, but that doesn't make up for the obscure billing and dangerous labelling (which I had to figure out and fix myself).
