Unfair

My boyfriend bought an engagement ring on 08/10/2020 and i only noticed 2 weeks after wearing it that the shape was skew but ignored it because when Ihave it on it does not show. But a few weeks later I noticed 1 if the small studs came off and the top one seemed a little loose. My boyfriend took the ring back to American Swiss and was tolt that i probably had carried something heavy hence the shape(mind you I am pregnant and work admin so I dont know what heavy thing i could carry in my condition). I don't know how they would make such assumptions withouth proof. The ring was sent to a jeweler who brought back the ring with a report saying that if he repairs the ring the same problems might occur in future. So my boyfriend then took the ring to Mall of Africa where he had bought it to see how they could help and the ring was taken to quality assurance who now say the damage is indeed my fault and that I have to pay for the damages. This is all unfair as this ring was not even 2months old when we took it back and now this?
