Steer clear of American Swiss Canal Walk!!

I bought a watch roughly 1 year ago as a birthday present for my father from American Swiss in Canal Walk and since buying it the watch started losing time almost immediately. It had been a gift and was only used a few months after purchasing it and was from the seiko solar range. After realizing the watch was losing time I took it back to the store around 3 months ago (still under warranty) and I was informed it had to be sent away for inspection. I had asked that I be contacted before any repairs were done so that I could know the full extent of the problem before agreeing to the repairs. I was not contacted and had to chase after supervisors and managers for a whole 2 months before finally, recently being informed the watch had a manufacture default and the mechanism essentially had to be replaced/repaired. I had visited and contacted the store on numerous occasions and staff proceeded to misinform me around 3 times about repair processes and times (at one point repair time jumped from 2 weeks to 6 weeks) and on the 4th time blatantly **** until another supervisor explained the real situation to me. They made no effort to tell me this or offer a replacement before sending it for repairs. The watch now came back completely scratched and damaged and no manager was available to hear my grievances. I no longer want this watch and refuse to take it back in this condition as I gave them the watch with few to no scratches. I am extremely unhappy with their service and want to discourage anyone from making purchases from the seiko solar range from this outlet.
