My boyfriend bought me a silver dress ring from the fourways store and it didnt fit so we had it re sized with you. When I eventually received the ring back I wore It for less than a year and the ring split at the bottom. I took it back to have it repaired and was told I would be charged R480 to fix a ring that only cost R600 I therefore rejected the quote and when I went to fetch my ring it was in two pieces. More damaged than before. Upon consulting a jewellery professional I was advised that the sizing made the band to thin at the bottom and silver should have been added to it to strengthen it. The same time I handed in the ring I handed in my guess watch to be repaired. I was told it would take 8 weeks for a quote. RIDICULOUS! I waited because I thought American Swiss was reliable then I received my quote over R600 to fix. Might as well buy a new one. Needless to say I find American Swiss is overpriced when it comes to repairs and have lost faith in the brand. Especially when no one could answer me on why my ring was now in two pieces.
