RING RESIZING

I purchased a ring at American Swiss Hemingways Mall (East London) on the 23 Dec 2021.

The ring that was displayed was not my size and was told it takes 2 to 5 days for it to be ready for collection. My wedding day was on the 28th the following week and i needed the ring that day, so i was advised that i can take the ring and can bring it in for a resize after the wedding but i was moving back to CPT on the 31st Dec. The lady said "don't worry i can also send it in for resizing when i am in CPT" fine so i did.

On the 2nd January 2022 i went to American Swiss Somerset Mall, i was told they will be open for resizing again from the 15th January 2022. So today i went in and i was told that if i purchase a ring that is displayed and it doesn't fit me i will be charged for that. I told the lady that doesn't make sence 🙄because i was told i get charged if i am happy with the size and come back in the future maybe i want a bigger adjustment than i will be charged. Apparently the lady at Somerset Mall said what i was is not their policy and i should have received a proper explanation around that at the point of sale. I am so disappointed and angry 😡😡 that i must pay R329 extra for something i was not made aware of at the point of sale.
