Returning an unsuitable ring

I purchased a ring for my wife on the 13 December 2023. After a few days I noticed that my wife is not wearing the ring. To which she later informed me that I had purchased the wrong ring. I went back to American Swiss Vaal Mall and asked to change it, they refused claiming that it has been used. I find this unacceptable because I still have all the packaging and receipt. As the intended person does not use it or wear it. The shop policy reads that I can return goods withing 30 days and this is within my rights as a customer. The store manager instead of helping me said "I gusless it's one of those things". I find this unacceptable because I paid money for this ring. And for it to close it serve a need. Now I must accept that I must keep this ring and still my wife is 'ring-less'. I even called their call center and was passed around. I need help.
