Resizing of rings

I bought an engagement ring from American Swiss N1 City and was told that I can bring the ring back for resizing since the engagement was a surprise only to be told that when I brought it back that I have to pay R240 for the resizing. Not once during the purchasing process was it mentioned to me that I'll have to occur additional costs when I return to the store for the resizing.
