Personal information misuse.

Hi, I bought two watches at American Swiss Bayside in cape town and immediately I was advised about insurance, which I gladly took, but I was advised that my ID number was registered with someone else's now, and I should come back during the week, so they could call head office, I did and still I was told that the ticket and response take longer and I would no longer be able to take insurance, once the 7 days is over. The ladies suggested I use someone else's ID, which I couldn't because I wanted to know why would my ID be registered under someone else's name at American Swiss. I was advised I would get a call back, I haven't.
