Faulty/Defective Goods

Faulty and defective rings.

I got a ring and got engaged after 1 week there was a crack in the ring.

I was told that it was Wear and Tear or it MIGHT have been knocked, there is no indication of any damage on the ring its still within the first 6 months Faulty goods warranty thats on American Swiss' website.

The right is 9ct White Gold valued at R8000 that cracked in 1 week of wear!

i feel embarrassed about the fact that we newly engaged and people wants to see the ring and we have NOTHING to show! you can imagine what else people must think of the ring if i had to be sent back after only 1 week...

after the ring was assessed it was told it will cost another R1000 to repaired . i refuse to pay another R1000 for a ring that has a defect.

i will never buy at American Swiss again in the past i bought a promise ring at Sterns which is part of the TFG group and i never had such poor service from them a ring i paid R599 for is still in great condition except for normal ware and tear after 1-2 years of use but there is certainly no Cracks

If it was a cheap ring i would have accepted it but a Ring of that Value its unacceptable.
