extremely poor

On the morning of Saturday 17 February 2018 i entered American Swiss Vangate Mall to have my watch made smaller, a valentine gift from my husband.

Linda, who helped me after being in the shop for 15 min had no knowledge on how to remove links from a watch. After we decided that 2 links needed to be taken out, 3 was taken out. I was forced to spend 2 hours in the mall as Linda did not know how to change links.

My watch was knocked around like crazy struggling to get the pins out who Linda inserted up side down...her colleague even uttered the words "why could she not ask for assistance if she never knew how to do this"

I was then asked by Linda to go to Sterns, someone there will have more knowledge on how to get this pins out and remove the extra link that was unnecessary inserted by Linda. Again wasting my time! I was assisted by Nandipha who eventually removed pins and took out the link that was added unnecessary by Linda.

Myself and Nandipha (Sterns) discovered how my watch was damaged due to all the mishandling ,knocking and struggling to take out pins that was put in upside down.

I then took it back to American Swiss and requested a refund or a credit note as i never wore this watch and it was still in its original form when i brought it just to have links taken out.

Linda then said to me she never damaged this watched, blatantly taking me for a fool, after i witnessed how my watch was ******ed by her and her colleague. it ****ed me off as they wasted so much of my time and still want to look me in my face and take no accountability for their actions.

It was said they can not do any refunds or issue credit notes without a manager present in the shop. This to me is pathetic. After disappointing me as a customer the least they could have done was go the extra mile and contact a manager to assist in a refund or credit note... and make me leave a happy customer.

Instead i left extremely unhappy.

I will never do any purchases at American Swiss again! and will make sure i create awareness of this putrid customer service.
