Diamonds are not your friend when purchased at American swiss.

If I could give a minus rating I would. I've been a client for more than 20 years. My partner bought my engagement ring at American Swiss Cape Gate. We got engaged in March 2020 and in Oct one of the small diamonds on the side of the ring fell out. Not noticeable but I know it's gone. Price tag on the ring was just under R20000 and he paid cash for it. No accounts. Taken off his savings account immediately. I figured a reputable company would have some sort of guarantee or replacement option for what was obviously machined shoddy workmanship. But no.... After waiting nearly a month for someone to call me back when I queried the stone loss, and then having my fiance take the ring in himself, he was told sorry. This will cost you as we only have a 6 month workmanship guarantee. How very sad that there is no pride in their workmanship. So after 6 months, no matter how much u spent on a ring u can expect it to fall apart. They will never see me again. You have lost a loyal client.
