Damaged Stock Still Damaged After Repair

In December my husband bought me a dress ring at American Swiss at the Grove as a Christmas present. Because American Swiss only have a few big sizes ranging from M upwards, the ring had to be re-sized to a smaller number. Because of this there are very limited rings to choose from otherwise the stones will fall out. Your only option you have is to buy a plain no stones ring, or a ring with very little stones. Unfortunately for people with small hands, American Swiss cannot provide you with a beautiful ring. Only plain ones.

With assistance from a very friendly staff member at the Grove, we were able to choose a ring in no time. We repeatedly asked if the ring can be re-sized without having to have any problems in the future and they confirmed that this can indeed be done. He even got confirmation from the store manager. So the ring was send to head office for the re-size on 19 December and returned on 22 December as promised. The ring was then wrapped for Christmas.

upon opening the ring on December we realized that one of the diamond stones on the ring was loose and fell out in the box. the stone was wrapped in a piece of plastic and the ring was placed back inside the box until we were able to drive into town to return it for repairs. on 2 January 2018 we went to American Swiss Wonderpark. We were informed that the workshop only opens on the 5th of January 2018 and that they are not allowed to keep the ring in store until then, i should please bring it back on a later date after 5 January. I informed the lady that we live outside Pretoria on a farm and cannot also drive in to town unless completely necessary. She explained that this is unfortunately the company policy, so the ring was once again returned home not to be worn until fixed.

On 18 January 2018 the ring was finally send in for repairs at American Swiss Wonderboom Junction. We received the ring today on 26 January 2018. The diamond stone is still loose. the repair work that was done on the ring was not even done properly. So yet again we have to drive all the way into town to take back a ring that we bought and paid for but cannot wear because of the quality of the ring.

This is not the kind of service any one would expect from any jewelry store especially when the products that you buy from them is suppose to be of high quality and not a ring bought at any convenient store around the corner.
