Concerned about quality.

I had received a pendant bracelet that had gems on for Christmas as a gift and within 5 days one of the gems had fallen out - I took it back and they said they can repair it but when I get it back I must put clear nail polish over the stones so they don't fall out. For the price you pay you really shouldn't have to do these things.
