Broken earing

Good afternoon

I bought a pair of earrings in June 11 2024 @ American Swiss Newcastle Mall for R1825 on the 25 of February 2025 one earing broke when I took it back to the shop they told me that they will send it for repair and I will pay for it, its not even a year and I am not wearing the earing every day how can I pay for something that just broke within few times of wearing it and today they called me letting me know that the couldn't fix the earing and I really dont understand how come they can't fix it and what am I supposed to do now
