bad quality for high price

I bought a pair of earings from American Swiss at the Baywest Mall.when I got home tried to open it and noticed that the clip is tight.I remembered the consultant also battled to remove it from the display.The earing bent and I took it back. These earings costed R1200 and I didn't expect that the quality would be of such low standard.The manager said it's not manufacturers fault and that was that.She never offered any other alternatives as in send off to be inspected. I now have a set of very expensive earings that I can never wear because it has a defect.The consultant handled the earings before me and she could have damaged it but they insisted that it was me.
