Appalling service
I went in to pay my account at the Cresta branch yesterday and received one of the worst experiences ever there. An employee named Nelly was busy cleaning some jewellery at another counter. She saw me waiting at the till point but still waited there a few minutes before putting the case away to come to me. In all this time she never greeted, smiled or made eye contact with me (which to me is basic customer service interaction). She shouts something in her 'own language' to another lady across the room then sticks out her hand to me, at this point I'm a bit annoyed as to me I'm still waiting to be acknowledged as a person/ customer even though I was not making a purchase. I paused and waited for her to look at me and I greeted her until she greeted back and told her that that should have been the first thing she did, so she said it's my fault for just standing there and waiting, I should have greeted her first! No apology or trying to recover the situation just more attitude on how I was the one who was at fault. In any case when the ordeal was over I said thank you and left. Only to turn around to see her complaining to the next customer about me! Is this how American Swiss employees are trained? Are they trained at all? Do you not treat everyone that walks in with a certain amount of respect? not that it should matter but your merchandise is not just mediocre stuff so one expects a certain level of good customer service when walking into your stores. I was abit gobsmacked at the response to say the least and was with my child so did not want to create an issue at the time but this was appalling service to say the least.
