American Swiss Sandton ********** Account Transaction

I visited the American Swiss store in Sandton City 3 months ago. The sales man was very persuasive in me registering to get an American Swiss card but did not inform me about all the charges that come with the card and said that the account was free. For signing up to open up this account the salesman gave me a “free” bracelet and said it was for opening the account…

However, I have received multiple sms’s & phone calls from the TFG group saying I am 3 months behind payment and owe R66,01. I have not purchased anything on the card nor did I activate the card myself - therefore I shouldn’t be in debt of the R66,01.

Upon further investigation I saw that the “free bracelet” that I received for signing up for the account was charged against the account opened in my name as a credit of R0,01 and therefore that activated my account.

This is unacceptable customer service, the salesman **** about the bracelet being a gift, as it turns it is a credit transaction against my account which I am now liable to pay.
