American Swiss - Defective Wedding Ring

My husband and I bought my wedding ring 9 September 2024, I wore it on our wedding 6 December 2024. 13 April (Palm Sunday) while I was sitting in church I just had a real look at my ring and noticed a stone was missing, just over 4 months of wearing the ring and unfortunately found out the warranty ended 29 March just 2 weeks after I noticed the missing stone. When I took it to them they said it's out of warranty an quoted me R1700 to repair a minute stone almost half the price of the ring, shocking. Clearly from the reviews the quality of their products are questionable. I haven't had the strength to go and collect the ring because it doesn't make sense how can the stone in my ring fall out in less than 6 months of wearing it and have to pay almost half the price of the actual ring to repair it. How do I wear a defective ring, which should hold significant meaning. I have been wearing my engagement ring from Sterns and the quality seems way better, and based on the reviews for American Swiss I regret why we didn't buy my wedding ring at Sterns because their quality seems better. My husband also bought me a watch from American Swiss a year after we started dating and after a year the strap broke and they said that it couldn't be repaired, and now it has been sitting in my cupboard as a memento. American Swiss carried a prestigious name and I thought reputation, but based on my minimal experience it is disappointing that it does not seem to be the case. Hopefully one day when I eventually muster the strength or land up at Tygervalley Center I will come and collect my wedding ring and it will sit as a memento in my cupboard as I can't wear it in that condition, which is a waste of our hard earned money.
